BRAD WHITFORD

I'm a 25 year-old Writer, Director and Producer from the North of England.

My first short film, 'Indigo', achieved 2 festival selections, and received an award of merit at the Accolade Film Festival in Los Angeles. My follow-up short, 'In The Bittersweet', premiered as Part of 'FilmedUp' Festival, screening at HOME Cinema in Manchester.

The key to our work is collaboration, and I've been blessed to work alongside multiple esteemed colleagues, both in front of and behind the camera. In my films, my aim is to tackle issues that dog people in their everyday lives, shining a light on how it feels to be in their shoes, whilst offering  a glimmer of hope for them too.

In the near future, I aim to release my 3rd short, as well as to shoot some more live events on Super8mm film, having already recorded some footage for Irish band 'Newdad' at the beginning of 2024.

My inspiration is Greta Gerwig, and my favourite film is Bruce Robinson's 'Withnail & I'.
